Pro Wrestling Nation 24/7 will take over Channel 156 starting Tuesday, the satellite radio company said Thursday.
Pro wrestling, mixed martial arts, and boxing matches have been broadcast on SiriusXM Fight Nation, channel 156.
“I am ecstatic,” said Dave LaGreca, the veteran host of Busted Open, which began as a weekly one-hour program in 2009. I owe our fans a debt of gratitude. They have been requesting this for years and are truly committed. Seeing it come to life is a dream come true. And it’s going to happen soon.
In 2018, Busted Open increased to five days a week, and a year later, it went to six days. Every day from 9 a.m. to noon EDT, LaGreca will appear live on the new channel with wrestling celebrities Tommy Dreamer, Mark Henry, and Bully Ray.
With video snippets of interviews receiving a lot of interaction on social media, the event has won over both WWE and AEW fans.
Additionally, Sam Roberts, Peter Rosenberg, Jonathan Coachman, Natalya, and Matt Cardona will have shows on the channel every day.
Fans will be able to call in and voice their reactions to WWE and AEW shows during the five nights a week Busted Open After Dark program.
LaGreca, who inked a multi-year agreement with SiriusXM, stated, “The great thing is that we’re not associated with WWE or AEW, so we can give our honest opinion about both products.” It’s even better for what we’re doing on air because of the slight friction that exists between those two businesses and even the viewers. Our brand benefits even more from the fact that more businesses are breaking records, which is the main reason we’re operating around the clock.
With a dedicated channel, professional wrestling can also claim to be on par with major collegiate conferences and professional sports leagues, at least on satellite radio.
Fans’ desire for wrestling programming is only growing, and we are able to satisfy their needs by creating a brand-new, round-the-clock channel just for them. stated Jared Fox, Senior Vice President for Artist Relations, Content Marketing & Partnerships, and Sports Programming at SiriusXM. We have a history of creating devoted sports channels that are well-liked by viewers.
LaGreca stated that in addition to continuing to solicit fan feedback on potential acquisitions or lineup changes, he hopes to bring on other analysts.
