After 43 years of operation, the Soup to Nuts cafe on Route 20 in Sturbridge has closed, but patrons still have the opportunity to stop by one final time and purchase mementos.
“We are so grateful for your support and sharing such a special place to gather,” the cafe wrote on Sunday in a Facebook post.
According to the post, the owner of Soup to Nuts, a cafe situated in the Fiskdale district of Sturbridge at 559 Main St., has made the decision to sell everything inside the establishment, including the dishes, furniture, and photos.
Although Soup to Nuts has stopped serving meals, it intends to reopen daily from Monday, August 25, to Sunday, August 31, from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m., so that patrons can purchase whatever photos or mementos they choose and bid the cafe’s employees farewell. Numerous paintings and pictures of athletes, the Kennedys, and golden retrievers may be seen in the restaurant’s decorations.
On its Facebook site, Soup to Nuts hopes that patrons would post their fondest recollections of the cafe from the years past.
