Atlanta, Georgia.A powerful cold front is expected to deliver cooler, drier weather typical of early fall to Georgia, providing much-needed respite from the late-summer heat. It is anticipated that this transition will begin early next week.

By Monday, the cold front will sweep across the eastern U.S., bringing daytime highs in much of Georgia down to the mid-70s to low 80s, according to the Peachtree City National Weather Service. After a lengthy summer, nighttime lows will fall into the mid-50s to 60s, providing a cool, refreshing change.
