Terry Francona

added another impressive bullet point to his résumé on Sunday.

The

Cincinnati Reds

manager secured his 2,000th victory after a 4-2 win over the Colorado Rockies. Francona is the 13th MLB manager to reach the milestone.

Texas Rangers’ Bruce Bochy is only other active manager who has at least 2,000 wins.

Here is the full list:

Francona, 66,

stepped away from managing after the 2023 season

with the Cleveland Guardians. He was hired by the Reds in October 2024.

“When the Reds reached out, I started looking at the team a little more closely, and they came out to visit and it just felt right,”

Francona said during his introductory press conference

. “And it felt right from pretty close to the beginning of the meeting.”

Francona, who spent eight years as the Red Sox manager,

helped lead them

to two World Series championships in 2004 and 2007 — the former of which helped break an 86-year curse. Of Francona’s 2,000 wins, 744 came with Boston.

After Sunday’s win, Francona has a record of 2,000-1,719.
