Fourth of July expected to be sunny, ‘pretty comfortable day’ in Massachusetts

The National Weather Service predicts that Boston will have a nice and sunny Fourth of July for those who want to enjoy outside.

Joe Dellicarpini, a meteorologist with the National Weather Service, stated that it appears to be a quite pleasant day. Friday’s high will be in the low to mid-80s with significantly lower humidity. It’s a fairly pleasant day outside.

The holiday is predicted to be bright, with highs of 83 degrees and lows of 62 degrees on Friday night—slightly cooler than the previous several days. Throughout the day, a moderate northwest breeze is predicted.

Last year’s Fourth of July had a high of 85 degrees, which was comparable to this year, but the humidity was higher, according to Dellicarpini. This holiday, circumstances should be fairly comfortable due to the lower humidity.

Forecasters predict that Friday night’s sunny skies will provide ideal vision for anyone enjoying fireworks displays in the Boston region.

According to Dellicarpini, it will drop into the 70s as we approach eight or nine o’clock. Therefore, it will likely be between 70 and 75 degrees for the fireworks, with rather mild winds as well. Thus, it appears to be quite positive.

Friday looks to be free of most weather concerns, even though the region was under severe thunderstorm watches through Thursday night. People in the region who are celebrating outside should wear sunscreen, drink plenty of water, and take breaks from the heat during the day.

It’s going to be a pleasant, sunny day since the storms that are passing through on Thursday will be far away, Dellicarpini added. It goes without saying that you should wear sunscreen and enjoy the rest of your day.
