Read, 45, of Mansfield, is
charged
with second-degree murder, OUI manslaughter and leaving the scene of a collision causing personal injury or death. She’s accused of killing Boston Police Officer

, her boyfriend, on Jan. 29, 2022, and leaving him to freeze and die on a Canton front lawn.
“Not guilty” is the overwhelming winner so far, with 77% of respondents selecting that option. Another 10% of respondents voted “Guilty” of all charges while 9% said they believed Read to be “Guilty of one or more but not all three charges.” A final 4% of respondents were less than fanatic about the popular case, selecting “Just wake me up when this is over.”
The jury
began deliberations on Friday
afternoon and resumed deliberating on Monday. Jurors deliberated for five days before a mistrial was declared in her first trial last year.
