NEW YORK (AP) bringing together Karo G, Brazil, and football lovers for a single night? That is a formula that works.
Next month, on September 5, YouTube’s first-ever NFL broadcast will stream live from Corinthians Arena in São Paulo, Brazil, and the Grammy-winning artist will do a halftime show. The Los Angeles Chargers and the defending AFC champion Kansas City Chiefs will play each other in the NFL’s first week.

Tim Tubito, senior director of worldwide game presentation and entertainment for the NFL, stated, “We want to showcase the NFL’s excitement and Americana, but we do this carefully in a way that plays to local cultures, practices, and traditions.”
He stated that booking Karol G has an influence on a worldwide level in addition to thrilling our followers and honoring their South American culture. We hope that every one of our supporters is prepared for a momentous occasion.
Fans all over the world can watch the game for free on YouTube and YouTube TV. At 5 p.m. Pacific, 8 p.m. Eastern, or 9 p.m. BRT (local time), it starts. An hour before, a pre-show begins.
Angela Courtin, vice president of sports and entertainment marketing at YouTube, stated in a statement, “We are excited that international superstar Karol G will perform during our halftime show to celebrate this moment.” YouTube will provide a free global coverage of the game and concert, combining music and sports fans into one incredible cultural event.
