Maryland Mother Who Reported Her 3-Year-Old Daughter Missing Shortly Before Body Found in Suitcase Now Accused of Killing Her

In a tragic turn of events, a Maryland mother, Darrian Randle, has been charged with the murder of her three-year-old daughter, Nola Dinkins. Randle, along with her partner Cedrick Antoine Britten, is accused of killing the young girl and then falsely reporting her missing to authorities.

The Case Unfolds

The investigation began when Randle reported Nola missing on June 10, 2025, sparking an Amber Alert. The alarm was quickly issued as police believed the young girl had been abducted.

However, as the investigation progressed, authorities discovered inconsistencies in Randle’s statements, leading them to conclude that the kidnapping report was false. The Amber Alert was subsequently canceled.

Police then made contact with Britten, Randle’s partner, at Randle’s last known address in North East, Maryland. Further investigation led authorities to uncover human remains in a vacant lot in North East, which were later identified as those of Nola Dinkins. The remains were found inside a suitcase, wrapped in Saran Wrap, and were described as emaciated.

Criminal Charges

On July 11, 2025, after the remains were positively identified, criminal charges were filed. Randle has been charged with first-degree murder, second-degree murder, first-degree child abuse resulting in the death of a minor under the age of 13, and other related charges.

Britten, who is also implicated in the crime, has been charged with accessory to first- and second-degree murder, failure to report a child’s death, and other related offenses.

Family’s Grief and a GoFundMe Campaign

The family of Nola Dinkins is devastated by her loss, and a GoFundMe campaign has been set up to cover funeral costs, a memorial service, travel expenses, and attorney fees.

The campaign page reads, “As we face the heartbreaking task of saying goodbye, our family is coming together to honor Nola’s memory. Your support will help us give Nola the homegoing she deserves and ease the financial burden during this difficult time.”

A Heartbreaking Tragedy

This case has shocked the community and is a stark reminder of the devastating consequences of violence, especially when it involves children. As the investigation continues, both Randle and Britten will face serious legal consequences for their roles in this horrific crime.
