The

Patriots

begin training camp on Wednesday. And for

Mike Vrabel

, it will be a chance for him to see how bad the players want to be part of the team.

In the latest episode of “

Forged In Foxborough

,” Vrabel made it known to his players that everything will be earned, not given.

“If you guys thought that we weren’t gonna have competition and you weren’t gonna get exactly what you earn, then you signed up for the wrong team,”

the coach said

The Patriots finished 4-13 for the second consecutive season. It led to New England firing Jerod Mayo after one year and bringing in Vrabel. There were several other changes made to the roster, including releasing longtime center David Andrews — who ultimately retired.

After a strong draft that included selecting

Will Campbell

,

TreVeyon Henderson

and

Kyle Williams

, as well as a free agency that included signing wide receiver

Stefon Diggs

and defensive end

Milton Williams

, the Patriots will look different in 2025. Vrabel isn’t expecting things to change overnight, but knows the culture will be different as the new season begins.

“There’s gonna be good, and there’s gonna be bad, and then we’re gonna come together and we’re gonna tear (expletive) faces,”
