FOXBORO This season, Morgan Moses’ worth to the Patriots goes beyond his on-field abilities; he is probably going to lock down the right side of the offensive line.
A free-agent signing, Moses has been the epitome of a seasoned leader, staying after practice to assist with the Patriots’ young offensive linemen and rookies.
Particularly, rookies Will Campbell and Jared Wilson consider themselves lucky to have Moses on their side.
“I mean, if you could be over there in our little huddle after practice,” Campbell remarked on Saturday. “Morgan is a man of words and wisdom.” He makes a lot of small points that can lead to anything you wish. Both on and off the field, he has shown me a lot of kindness. I hope to be like that one day.
Moses, who is currently in his 12th NFL season, informed Wilson that he intends to play three more.

Campbell aspires to live as long as his 34-year-old bookend tackle, who Washington drafted in the third round of the 2014 NFL Draft.
I ask him a lot. I’m like, “Dude,” even though I had already asked him the day before. How have you been here for twelve years, I ask? I questioned him about his rehabilitation, his routine at home, and other things. He gets a lot of sleep. I don’t now have the money to buy him a red light sauna, but with luck, I will be able to do so in the future. However, he is an excellent teacher. He is really a wonderful man.
With Will Campbell at left tackle, Cole Strange at left guard, Garrett Bradbury at center, and Mike Onwenu at right guard, Moses has dominated the first four days of training camp as the Patriots’ right tackle. Wilson has also filled in for Bradbury and Strange at center and left guard.
Campbell also praised Onwenu, a sixth-year veteran, and Bradbury, who is in his eighth NFL season, for their leadership.
Going into an organization with a seasoned player who has played a lot of ball, has a wealth of information, and can teach you a lot is beneficial for rookies. We rookies, including Jared, Marcus (Bryant), Jack (Conley), and Mekhi (Butler), are really lucky to have players like Morgan, Big Mike, and Garrett who have played a lot more football than we have. Therefore, everything they can provide to assist us move forward is fantastic, but Morgan has been excellent.
There is competition at center and left guard, and Wilson is the front-runner to replace either Bradbury or Strange, while Campbell, Onwenu, and Moses appear set in their starting positions at left tackle, right guard, and right tackle.
At left guard, Caedan Wallace, a 2024 third-round selection, is also being considered. The Patriots’ third-string tackle has been Ben Brown.
Regarding his collaboration with Bradbury and Strange, Wilson stated, “We constantly ask each other questions.” I just go to Garrett whenever I have a question. Cole and Garrett are quite forthcoming. At the end of the day, we are teammates, and we want to win, so they don’t see any friction between us or anything.
