The offensive line of the Patriots’ first unit has changed.
In the Patriots’ preseason game against the Vikings on Saturday, veteran Ben Brown took the place of youngster Jared Wilson at left guard. Wilson was restricted at Thursday’s joint practice with the Vikings, but Brown was the Patriots’ starting left guard.

Mike Vrabel, the head coach of the Patriots, informed Scott Zolak, Devin McCourty, and Jason McCourty of the WBZ broadcast crew that the team was still in the process of identifying its top five offensive lineman.
Rookie Marcus Bryant began at right tackle, Mike Onwenu at right guard, Garrett Bradbury at center, Brown at left guard, and Will Campbell at left tackle in Saturday’s preseason game. During the regular season, veteran Morgan Moses is anticipated to be the team’s starting right tackle.
Wilson, who was selected in the third round, was a standout in training camp but struggled in the Patriots’ preseason opener against the Commanders.
