Several Red Sox players found themselves in the Oval Office on Thursday, despite the fact that sports teams usually only see the president after winning a title.

Red Sox players were welcomed into the Oval Office to see President Donald J. Trump, according to a video shared by communications advisor and special assistant to the president Margo Martin.

In the video, Rob Refsnyder, Wilyer Abreu, Garrett Whitlock, Rob Wilson, Rob Weissert, Abraham Toro, Romy Gonzalez, Connor Wong, Greg Weissert, and Brennan Bernardino are seen shaking the president’s hand. The video also features Trevor Story.

When asked about the visit, a Red Sox representative stated that the team’s family road trip to Washington, D.C., included a tour of the White House on Thursday.

Starting on Friday, the Red Sox will play the Washington Nationals in a three-game series in Washington this weekend. The opening pitch for Friday is set at 11 a.m.
