A Wrentham teen is facing charges after secretly recording videos of employees at the Lowe’s Home Improvement store in Milford as they used the bathroom, according to police.
John Kelley, 18, has been charged with two counts of photographing an unsuspecting nude person,
Milford police said in a press release Thursday
.
On June 27, Milford police received a report that an unknown male suspect had been filming staff members at the Lowe’s on Fortune Boulevard in the store bathroom, police said. Officers spoke with two employees who said that, despite using the bathroom at separate times, both had seen a man go into the stall next to them and prop up a cell phone on the ground so that its camera faced them under the stall divider.
Both employees said the man was wearing gray sweatpants and black sneakers, police said. They later pointed him out during a review of the store’s security video footage.
One portion of the footage showed the man leaving the store as a passenger in a black, newer-model Toyota Camry that turned out to be an Uber, police said. On July 2, detectives obtained a search warrant for records related to rides completed by the car.
The records ultimately led to Kelley being identified as the suspect, police said. During a conversation with police on July 15, he admitted to recording the store employees without their knowledge.
