Thanks to two $1 million donations—one from Dr. Joshua Boger, founder of Vertex Pharmaceuticals, and the other from his wife, Dr. Amy Boger—the Boston Arts Academy Foundation was able to close its Building Our Future fundraising campaign and surpass its $35 million goal. Additionally, an anonymous donor also contributed the same amount.
A state-of-the-art multimedia production program, a sound stage, recording studio, and theater at the Boston Arts Academy’s Fenway site, as well as professors, scholarships, and endowments, are all being funded by the BAAF’s Building Our Future initiative, which was started six years ago.
The academy is the only public high school in the city devoted to the performing and visual arts.
